These are suggested dimensions only. The templates can be resized as the maker pleases to suit your place settings, plates, chargers, or overall stationery proportions.

 

- How to Make It -

Add your own menu wording to the inner card using your preferred design program, then prepare all three pieces for Print-and-Cut in your cutting-machine software.

Print and cut each layer separately. Start with the oval base, position the shaped border layer over it, and finish with the smaller inner card on top. Secure the layers using double-sided adhesive, tape runner, or small foam adhesive pieces depending on how much dimension you want.

The inner card can hold your full menu, including headings such as To Start, Main Course, and Dessert, or any wording arrangement that works for your reception.

 

- Cardstock Suggestions -

For a polished layered finish, try:

• Smooth matte cardstock
• Eggshell or lightly textured cardstock
• White, ivory, cream, or warm neutral cardstock
• Coordinating colored cardstock for one of the backing layers
• Heavier cover stock for the main oval base
• Slightly lighter cardstock for the upper layers if you want a less bulky stack

For added contrast, use different cardstock shades or textures across the three layers while keeping the typography and shapes cohesive.

Want to add your initials, wedding date, monogram, or text? Create your text or graphic in Canva, remove the background, download it as a transparent PNG, and upload it into your cutting-machine software. Position it over the artwork before creating your final Print & Cut file.

- Styling Ideas -

Create an understated tonal look by using three similar shades of white, ivory, or cream, or make the layers more noticeable with sage, olive, blush, terracotta, butter yellow, dusty blue, or warm beige accents.

For extra dimension, mount the inner card with thin foam adhesive so it sits slightly above the border layer. Place the finished menu directly on the dinner plate or charger, then pair it with a linen napkin, ribbon, place card, wax seal, or botanical sprig.
