HOW TO MAKE IT
- Suggested Size -
7.017" x 8.255"
This is our suggested size, but the template can be resized as needed to suit your envelope.
Because envelope dimensions and flap shapes can vary between manufacturers, we recommend checking the liner against your actual envelope before producing your full quantity.
- How to Make It -
Upload the PNG into Cricut Design Space or another compatible cutting-machine program and resize it as needed.
Use your machine's Print Then Cut function to print and cut the liner. Once cut, slide the liner inside your envelope and position it just below the envelope adhesive.
Lightly score or crease the liner where the envelope flap folds, then secure the upper section with a small amount of double-sided adhesive or tape runner. You generally do not need to glue the entire liner flat.
- Cardstock Suggestions -
For easy rolling and a clean cone shape, we recommend:
- 65–80 lb cover cardstock for flexibility and easy assembly
- 80–100 lb cover cardstock for a slightly sturdier cone
- Smooth matte cardstock for crisp botanical printing
- Lightly textured cardstock for a more handcrafted stationery feel
- Ivory, cream, blush, lavender, sage, dusty blue, or other colored cardstock with the alternative white-background version
Avoid very heavy cardstock, as it can be harder to roll neatly into a cone.
- Easy Personalization with Canva -
For envelope liners, a lighter-weight paper usually works better than heavy cardstock because it folds easily and does not add unnecessary bulk to the envelope.
Consider:
- 24–32 lb premium text paper for an easy, lightweight liner
- 60–80 lb text paper for a more substantial luxury feel
- Smooth matte paper for crisp printed stripes
- Colored paper with the alternative white-background artwork for a customized look
- Styling Ideas -
Pair the soft striped liner with ivory, cream, white, pale blue, lavender, sage, butter yellow, or soft neutral envelopes.
For a more layered stationery look, coordinate it with:
- Botanical or wildflower invitation cards
- Matching belly bands
- Vellum wraps
- Wax seals
- Silk ribbon
- Personalized envelope addressing
- Floral or botanical envelope seals
The subtle stripe pattern works especially well as a contrast to floral artwork, adding just enough pattern without competing with the rest of your invitation suite.
