HOW TO MAKE IT
- Suggested Size -
The suggested envelope liner size is:
7.017 × 8.255 inches
Because envelope dimensions and flap shapes can vary, we recommend measuring your actual envelope before producing your full quantity. Resize the PNG as needed so the liner sits neatly inside your chosen envelope.
- How to Make It -
- Upload the PNG into Cricut Design Space or your preferred cutting-machine software.
- Resize the liner to fit your envelope.
- Set the artwork up as a Print Then Cut / Print-and-Cut project.
- Print the design onto your chosen paper.
- Place the printed sheet onto your cutting mat.
- Allow your Cricut or compatible cutting machine to cut around the liner shape.
- Test-fit the liner inside your envelope before attaching it.
- Apply a thin strip of adhesive near the upper edge of the liner.
- Position it underneath the envelope flap and smooth it into place.
-
Fold the envelope flap down once so the liner naturally takes on the same crease.
We recommend making one test liner first before printing and cutting your complete invitation quantity.
- Cardstock Suggestions -
Envelope liners generally work best with a lighter paper rather than heavy cardstock, since the liner needs to fold easily with the envelope flap.
Try:
- Matte presentation paper
- Premium text-weight paper
- Smooth white paper
- Warm white or ivory paper
- Lightweight colored paper
- Lightly textured text-weight stock
For the pre-colored version, white or warm-white paper will give you the truest representation of the watercolor artwork.
The white-background alternative also gives you the flexibility to experiment with colored paper that complements your wedding palette.
- Easy Personalization with Canva -
Want to add your initials, wedding date, monogram, or text? Create your text or graphic in Canva, remove the background, download it as a transparent PNG, and upload it into your cutting-machine software. Position it over the artwork before creating your final Print & Cut file.
- Styling Ideas -
Pair the floral liner with envelopes in colors such as:
- Butter yellow
- Warm ivory
- Cream
- Terracotta
- Blush
- Dusty rose
- Sage
- Olive
- Burgundy
- Warm neutral tones
For a beautifully coordinated invitation suite, repeat one or two colors from the watercolor artwork throughout your stationery.
You could pair the liner with a floral stacked invitation, shaped RSVP card, silk ribbon, vellum belly band or wax seal for an invitation suite that feels intentionally layered and professionally styled.
For an especially pretty reveal, choose a simple solid-color envelope on the outside and let the floral artwork become the surprise when your guests open it.
