The sample shows the floral top layer printed on vellum, allowing the menu wording and second layer to softly show through. Vellum is completely optional—the floral layer can also be printed on regular white or cream cardstock for a more opaque, traditional finish.

HOW TO MAKE IT

- Suggested Size -

The suggested finished Print Then Cut size is approximately 6.429" × 9". You may resize the template to better suit your place settings, printer, cutting machine, or overall wedding stationery suite.

- How to Make It -

Personalize your floral layer with your menu wording, print your design using your preferred paper, and use a compatible cutting machine such as Cricut to Print Then Cut the oval shape. Cut the coordinating inner oval separately, align the two pieces, and secure them together at the top.

For the look shown in the photos, the layers can be joined through a small punched hole and finished with ribbon. You can also use a brad, eyelet, decorative fastener, or another attachment method of your choice.

 

- Cardstock Suggestions -

For the floral top layer, try translucent vellum for the soft overlay effect shown in the sample, or use smooth or lightly textured white/cream cardstock for a more traditional printed menu. For the inner layer, a medium-to-heavy cover cardstock provides more structure and helps the finished piece feel substantial.

 

- Easy Personalization with Canva -

If you'd like to design your menu wording in Canva, simply create your text layout there, remove the background, and download the finished text as a PNG with a transparent background. Upload the PNG into your cutting-machine software, position it over the floral template, and incorporate it into your Print Then Cut design.

 

- Styling Ideas -

Finish the menu with hand-torn silk or organza ribbon for a romantic look, velvet ribbon for a richer feel, or a narrow satin ribbon for something clean and classic. You can also add an eyelet, wax-seal accent, small tassel, twine, or coordinating ribbon in your wedding colors. For a more minimal presentation, simply layer the two pieces together without additional embellishment.
